Itinerary

Day 01 :
Ho Chi Minh City - Cai Be (-/L/D)

If you want to experience authentic life in the Mekong Delta, this tour is definitely for you! The program will start by visiting Cai Be Market. We will travel by boat and float amongst the colourful barges where the locals buy and sell their goods.

We will stop over at a local house where we can see how they make coconut candy, rice-paper, rice-pop corn and rice wine. We will take a rowboat into small canals to enjoy the peaceful countryside. It will be a perfect moment to enjoy some local fruits and tea, while listening to traditional music.

After this fun and interesting morning, we will enjoy our delicious lunch at a local house.

Check-in at home-stay, then you will take a bike ride through the village paths to enjoy beautiful landscapes. Returning to the home-stay, you will cook some traditional dishes with the owners and enjoy dinner with a cup of tea or rice wine.

Day 02 :
Cai Be - Vinh Long - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L/-)

We will start breakfast before taking a morning walk in the village to enjoy the fresh morning air.

Later we will travel by boat to visit the brick kilns and see how the local people create beautiful clay pottery. We will continue by boat downstream to a floating village where you will have the opportunity to learn how to farm catfish on the Mekong River.

Upon arrival at Vinh Long City, we will visit the local market. This colorful market is an amazing place to take pictures of the local life.
