Mekong Delta

The Mekong Delta, known to the Vietnamese as the ‘Nine Dragons’,  offers a glimpse into the unchanged way of life of farmers and fishermen.

As southern Vietnam’s agrarian heartland, the Delta is characterised by verdant rice fields and tropical fruit orchards, interspersed among the winding tributaries of the Mekong River. The region also offers fascinating cultural and historical interests including colonial villas from the French occupation alongside Chinese and Khmer cultural influences as seen in the ethnic mix of people and different temple styles.
